All pesticides used by the district are registered by US Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) and California Department of Pesticide Regulations (CDPR). Applications are applied appropriately in accordance to their label and handled exclusively by state licensed technicians. These steps ensure that there are minimal risks to people, non-target organisms, and the environment. However, some residents may wish to forfeit pesticide application to their property. The district will try to accommodate your request without putting the public health of your neighbors at risk. To this regard the district will evaluate on a case by case basis any “No Spray request” as they are received. The outcome of such evaluation will be communicated.
