Physical Control is achieved by manipulating the environment in which mosquitoes live to reduce available breeding sites. This can be achieved in many ways including but not limited to:

Promoting proper water drainage
Controlling overgrown vegetation
Changing irrigation patterns
Encouraging residents to adopt best management practices in urban and agricultural areas
